Introducing Dr. Eric Martin
Dr. Martin has provided dental care to Champaign-Urbana area residents since 1999. He graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1998, and then spent the following year in a general practice residency in the Navy at Great Lakes Naval Hospital. The residency allowed him to develop further expertise in all areas of general dentistry.
Dr. Martin focuses on continuing education that helps to incorporate the latest and greatest technology such as CEREC single-visit restorations and computer-guided implant surgery into his practice. By incorporating technology, Dr. Martin strives to make dentistry easier, less invasive, and more convenient for his patients. He has been an active member in the CEREC Doctors Mentor Group since 2012, where he helps peers learn to fully utilize the potential of their CEREC machines.
Another group that Dr. Martin actively participates in is the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He won a pre-doctoral award from the organization while still in dental school. In February 2011, Dr. Martin was awarded a Fellowship in the ICOI for extensive post-graduate education in the field of dental implants. In 2018, after several years’ more work, he was awarded Diplomate status in the organization, which is the highest award given. He has a passion for making implants accessible to patients, and combines his knowledge in both CEREC and implantology to place and restore dental implants in our office.
In addition to being a past president of the Illini District Dental Society, Dr. Martin served the dental community by serving on the Illinois State Dental Society’s Peer Review Committee as both and member and Chairman. Dr. Martin lives in Champaign with his wife, Joy, and two children, Madeline and Will. He enjoys traveling, scuba, and cooking in his free time.

What questions should I ask a new dentist?
When you’re in search of a new dental home, it’s a good idea to schedule a consultation prior to your appointment. This will allow you to get to know the office and staff so you can see if they’re a good fit. You’ll also want to do some research ahead of time to ensure they’re conveniently located near your home or work.
Questions you’ll want to ask include:
- Are you familiar with my insurance?
- How can I improve my dental health?
- How long have you been in practice?
- How do you treat patients with dental phobia?
- How long does it take to get an appointment?
- Do you offer any financing options?
- Do you offer emergency dental services or after-hours treatment?
At our office, we’re dedicated to making you feel right at home, educating you about any dental issues, and keeping you in the best oral health. Our staff will thoroughly address all of your concerns and do our best to keep your smile in excellent condition.
What payment methods do you accept?
At our office, we accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We understand that not everyone has the means to pay for services at the time of your visit. That’s why we proudly offer flexible financing options so you can get the care you need without having to break the bank.
